Holmes & Daughters is a well-regarded Funeral Director in Ashford, Middlesex, founded in 1993 by brothers David and Andrew Holmes. The brothers were inspired to enter the profession by their stepfather, who served as a coroner’s officer. Andrew contributed significant industry experience following a traditional apprenticeship, while David managed the financial aspects of the firm. Supported by their siblings and close friends, the brothers successfully established a family-run alternative to the larger firms in the area.
The business earned a strong reputation for its dedicated service, leading to rapid expansion with further offices opening in Feltham, Teddington, and East Sheen. Following a change in family circumstances, the business was sold to G M Luff & Partners in 2000. John Holmes continued to play a vital role in the company’s success, serving as a Board member with responsibility for the local area’s management. Today, we continue this legacy of care for families in Ashford, Sunbury, Spelthorne, Staines, and Shepperton.
