Still in shock, tried several times to write this. Rob has been a true friend for many years, we have so many great memories to remember him by. Missing his wit and spark, he will always be in our hearts and thoughts. All our love and sympathy goes out to Sue, Alex and Issy and the Urquhart family. Rest in peace Rob.

Rob's passing has been felt by many within the RFL Pharmacy Team but so many good memories to draw on. Thinking of Sue, Alex, Izzy and Rob's extended family x

I will always greatul for the guidance and support Rob gave me. I will always remember him

I was so sorry to have to miss Rob's funeral, but grateful to have seen Rob in the Pig and Whistle in June, when lovely Alex wheeled him down to watch the Euros. We didn't know Rob very well, unfortunately, but he was a kind and funny and intelligent man and always someone you wanted to talk to at a party. He will be sorely missed.

I met Rob in my first days of university and I'm proud and honoured to have been one of his friends. It's clear from yesterday that everyone he knew is going to feel his loss, whether friends, family, work or sporting colleagues. Sending our love to Sue and the girls.

Rob was recruited to tuesdaynight footie shortly after we started playing in East Sheen in Jan 2001. He was immediately the first name on the team sheet each week. He had a great engine, was very skilful, fully committed and two-footed with a powerful shot. He read the game so well. He would constantly circle the pitch tackling, receiving, distributing and invariably scoring. He scored remarkable goals so often we lost count. If he had a weakness it was as a goalie - a duty not to his taste. Away from the pitch he was a lovely guy and excellent company in the pub after. He played his last game on Dec 21st 2021 - his career curtailed by a dodgy hip. He had promised to return but sadly cruel fate decided otherwise. RIP Rob

Remembering a lovely neighbour and fierce competitor on the football pitch and golf course. You will be much missed in these parts.

Rob was a lovely golfer in all senses, and will be very fondly remembered at RMS.

Rob was such a warm and kind person and the best Dad to Alex and Izzy. I have such lovely memories of all the lifts home he gave us, painting our flat and helping us move. So much love to all of you xxx

So shocked and saddened to have heard of this news. Was so great to have had the opportunity to work with the brilliant Rob at The Whittington years ago and more recently at UCLH as well as hear about all the golfing pursuits at the recent RFH reunion. Sending love and condolences.

What a fine man, true to your profession. Diplomatic smart and a calming influence on matters medicine. I was shocked ( at aged 61) to hear of your premature death. From the UMC. I will attend your funeral out of respect, time is the hardest thing to give. Carpe Diem and love to your family.

As well as the robust and competitive TNF nights I am remembering our great golf trips in Dorest and Spain in particular. Great to have known you Rob.

We have some wonderful memories of Rob over the years and spent time with him and the girls as they were growing up sharing love and laughter along the way. Rob and Sue were responsible for introducing us over 30 years ago and we are forever grateful!

I worked with Rob on the Covid-19 vaccination programme during the pandemic and he was a welcoming, friendly, sensible and practical colleague

Rob was a lovely neighbour and it was such a a shock when he fell ill. He's missed by all of us on St Leonard's road.

I never got to meet Rob but Issy has become a big part of my daughter's life. Georgia met Issy at Uni and they now share a rental together. Issy has been the best of friends to Georgia and I have seen her often. She is a gorgeous young woman who has the biggest heart and who literally lights up a room. She is caring and funny. I am sure that all of this is in part due to Rob and Sue. My heart goes out to all of you at this very difficult time x

Although we lost touch in recent years this is such a shock and such a loss. Sympathies to Sue and family. Life is about making memories and I am so grateful to have shared some great times and have such wonderful memories of our time in UWIST and days out at Twickenham. Such a wonderful friend and human being with that mischievous sense of humour. Rest in peace Rob.

Loved playing and watching football with Rob but most of all I remember his kindness and deep rooted decency. When I had Parkinson's Disease he became very protective ,such as walking me home after World Cup matches on TV at the Vic. I'll always think of Rob pushing his bike alongside me on such occasions, chatting away and laughing amiably at the night's absurdities. I will miss him enormously, and may he rest at ease

It was always a joy to play golf or football with you, or just to sit and talk. You are much missed.
