Integrated Neurological Services
INS provides ongoing rehabilitation, therapy, social and emotional support to improve the quality of life for adults with neurological conditions in Richmond and Hounslow boroughs. We aim to enable people to manage their conditions and live as independently as possible. Our multidisciplinary team provides skills and strategies to help people deal with the complex physical, social and emotional issues arising from these conditions. We also provide practical support to their unpaid carers. We offer training and advice to help carers cope with their role and prevent injury. We work closely with statutory and voluntary organisations to enhance long-term care given in the community to those with neurological conditions and fill the gap left when NHS services end. We also advance education to support people with these conditions and their carers. We provide training for 400 medical students annually and placements for therapy or social work students. ▼
